Not So Ordinary

My beauty routine changes quarterly. Not on purpose but because I get bored with what I have. Sadly, for my bank account, most of what I’ve tried has worked but I’m a sucker for testing expensive beauty products. They’re more expensive because they work better, right? Wrong.

Enter The Ordinary: Clinical Formulas with Integrity. I’ve been using The Ordinary for over a month and was hesitant going in considering the precautions to patch test before putting the products on your face. I was also turned off by the names of the products. I’m accustomed to names like Jet Lag Mask or The Liquid Silk Canvas. Not Mandelic Acid 10% + HA. What does that mean?

Confused and too lazy to research I reached out to someone to help me find a regime customized to me. The customer support was amazing! They asked questions about my skin type, what I was looking for in a skin care routine, and made suggestions. The patch test wasn’t as intense as I thought it would be and I had no reactions after the 24 hour period. I started the use the products on my face. Some are sticky and smelly but very worth it.

Over the last month I have seen a difference in my skin’s texture from rough to smooth, the tones of my skin are even, and I wake up looking fresh instead of completely exhausted.

The few skincare products I don’t use from The Ordinary are cleanser, primer, eye cream, and a daily SPF. Check back later this month for an update on those or leave a message in the comments to learn more about my routine. x
