A Working Mom's Quarantine Schedule

Everyone is on a different day. Day 1 of quarantine looks different depending on who you ask. For me, it was when our nanny stopped coming and both my partner and I started working from home full-time while taking care of our almost-two-year-old daughter.

Thirty days felt like a milestone. As I scroll through social media on my off-time, which is the 5 minutes I get between lying down in bed and shutting off my light to go to sleep, I see people posting about how this is a marathon and not a sprint. In that case, what mile are we at? I feel like Forrest Gump right now. With no end in sight, I’ve been trying to stick to a routine sprinkling in some special moments like cooking delicious food (I don’t cook) or ordering new books and toys for my daughter. Today we reorganized furniture in her room to make things feel different. Here is what a day looks like for us and how we’re staying sane. All the time I am working my partner is watching our daughter and when I’m watching her he is working.

I thought it may be helpful for other full-time working families with toddlers to see how we plan our day. Google Calendar certainly helps!
